Poetry on Water

The Poetry on Water series reflects a lifelong pull toward the water, shaped by childhood years spent on Cape Cod and the islands. While the paintings remain representational, my focus has increasingly shifted beyond simply depicting boats and coastal scenes to exploring the suggestive and emotional qualities of water itself: its stillness, movement, mystery, and ability to mirror our inner being. These works are less about place and more about atmosphere, memory, and feeling, inviting viewers into the quiet, dreamlike space that exists beneath the visible surface.
